My journey into education

In my late thirties, I decided to go back to school to obtain my teaching certification, a secret dream I finally had the confidence to pursue. My non-traditional route is beneficial to the classroom and school district because I have life experience and I know hard work! Explore my unique path and how it enriches my teaching.

My key areas of expertise

I bring over 20 years of experience working with children aged 2-16, spanning various roles from preschools to one-on-one aide with emotional support and children on the autism spectrum. Discover the breadth of my experience and how it informs my teaching.

Early childhood education

My certification is in early childhood education/ elementary education focusing on nurturing foundational learning and development.

Special needs support

Extensive experience as a one-on-one aid for children with emotional support needs and on the autism spectrum.

Elementary substitute teaching

Recent experience as a substitute teacher in elementary schools across Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Child development (ages 2-16)

Over two decades of working with and understanding the developmental stages of children across a broad age range.

About me

I am a recent graduate of the post-bachelor graduate program at East Stroudsburg University. My personal motto, learned from a tremendous teacher, is: "Grit, grit, do not quit." I finally feel like I have found my passion and I am thrilled to start this new journey!
